West Rim Entry Tickets from Las Vegas

Entry tickets for the West Rim of the Grand Canyon: General Admission $67, All-Access with the Skywalk $99, the Sunset Pass, which pass lists the viewpoints, and the tours from Las Vegas that include entry.

Updated November 2026

To enter the West Rim you need a pass from Grand Canyon West, the Hualapai Tribe’s operation: General Admission is $67 without the Skywalk, the All-Access Pass $99 with it, and the Sunset Pass $59 for entry after 3:00 pm (checked November 2026). The West Rim is outside Grand Canyon National Park, so a national park pass does not cover it and the park’s $100 fee for visitors from abroad does not apply. Every day trip from Las Vegas to the West Rim puts the entry in its price. The coach day in the calendar below, Comedy on Deck Tours’ Vegas: Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Skywalk Option, & Two Meals, includes it with both meals and shows from $99 (checked November 2026), the option without the Skywalk on Saturdays from May 2027; on every earlier date we read it was $179 per adult (checked November 2026).

The coach day skips the ticket line, and if you book the Skywalk option the guide gives you that ticket in advance.

The passes

PassPriceWhat it covers
General Admission$67Walking trails, guided narration and exhibits, song and dance performances; not the Skywalk
All-Access Pass$99The Skywalk and the zipline, tribal tours and exhibits, arcade play, $10 off meals and merchandise, trails, the shuttle to all points, and Eagle Point, Guano Point and Hualapai Point
Sunset Pass$59Entry after 3:00 pm, with the Skywalk, Eagle Point, Guano Point and the in-park shuttle

Grand Canyon West ticket page, checked November 2026. The page gives no date from which these prices apply.

The Tribe’s own pages do not line up on General Admission. Its ticket page lists the shuttle and the Eagle Point and Guano Point viewpoints under the All-Access Pass and the Sunset Pass, not under the $67 General Admission, and its FAQ says the All-Access Pass is required for all visitors (Grand Canyon West, checked November 2026). Ask the ticket office which pass you need before you drive out.

The ticket page also says the Skywalk is “based on availability” and “attraction not guaranteed”, and the FAQ adds that wait times may vary with attendance (checked November 2026).

The Tribe also sells its own luxury bus tour from Las Vegas at $189 per person on the same page.

Grand Canyon West is open every day of the year. Doors open at 8:00 am, and the last entry ticket is sold at 4:00 pm Arizona time, which from November to mid-March is 3:00 pm in Las Vegas (Grand Canyon West, checked November 2026). Its own pages give two different closing schedules, so check the plan-your-visit page before a late arrival.

If you have a car, the gate is cheaper than a tour: $99 a head for the All-Access Pass, the pass the Tribe’s ticket page lists with the shuttle and the viewpoints, or $67 for General Admission, which lists trails, narration, exhibits and performances (checked November 2026). The drive from the centre of Las Vegas is 122 miles, about 2 hours 15 minutes, by the National Park Service’s reckoning. Two adults pay $198 for the All-Access Pass, or $134 for General Admission, plus the car, the fuel and about four and a half hours of driving there and back. Driving from Las Vegas has the road.

Without a car, a tour is the way in, and the entry is already in its price:

National Park Express is the cheapest of these with the entry in the price: its plain option buys the coach, West Rim admission, a granola bar and water, with lunch and the Skywalk sold as options. Comedy on Deck Tours costs more and includes a sit-down breakfast and the BBQ lunch at Guano Point. For a first visit without a car, with both meals sorted, book Comedy on Deck Tours’ day.

Getting there

Map from the Las Vegas Strip to the West Rim: the road to Hoover Dam, about 32 miles, and on to the Skywalk at the West Rim, about 96 miles, on the Hualapai Indian Reservation beside Lake Mead
From the Las Vegas Strip to the West Rim: about 32 miles to Hoover Dam by road, then about 96 miles to the Skywalk.

Whether the Skywalk is worth the extra is its own question: is the Skywalk worth it has the phone rule and the view without it.
